Liz Lugo: A Poetry Reading

Our second 'The Weekly Reading' series comes from the immensely talented, bilingual poet and friend of Thirty West, Liz Lugo

Liz Lugo, (L.D. Lugo) is originally from Puerto Rico. She’s a microbiologist, screenwriter, TV writer, actress, editor, poet and short stories writer, and founder of the Smaeralit collection. Besides Ahora Toca Desnudarse, she's the author of El Pecado de Callar. She's trilingual in English, Spanish, Italian, and is learning ASL. 

For over three years, she was involved in the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) as a treasurer and Vice-President on-campus chapter and nationally recognized member.
